BALLET 4, 5, 6

Duration- 1-1.5 hour

This class is for experienced ballet students who show strong focus and skills in their previous ballet classes. Students will concentrate on proper execution of Ballet movements with an emphasis on leaps, turns, and control. This class will perform a Ballet piece for the end of the year Showcase.

 

Dress Code-

Boys: white or black t-shirt, black leggings, shorts, or tights, and black ballet shoes.

Girls: leotard and tights of any color, skirts are permitted, pink ballet slippers, and hair in a bun.

JAZZ 4, 5, 6

Duration- 1 hour

This class focuses on advancing the technique of students already familiar with Jazz technique.  Students have shown an elevated focus and execution of skills in their previous classes.  They will concentrate on improving their performance quality and executing more advanced technical skills. This class will perform a Jazz piece for the end of the year Showcase.

 

Dress Code-

Boys: white or black t-shirt, black leggings, capris, or shorts, and black oxford style jazz shoes.

Girls: leotard and tights of any color, shorts or skirts are permitted, tan oxford style jazz shoes, and hair in ponytail or bun.

MODERN 4, 5, 6

Duration- 1 hour

Students will explore core Modern techniques including spiral, fall and recover, contraction and release, and expansion, all while connecting movement to dynamics and emotion. Throughout the year, dancers are introduced to classical Modern styles such as Graham, Limon, Cunningham, and Horton, gaining a broad understanding of the genre's foundations. Improvisational exercises are incorporated to encourage creativity, individuality, and movement exploration. Dancers in this class will perform a Modern piece in the end of the year Showcase.

 

Dress Code-

Boys: white or black t-shirt, black leggings, capris, or shorts, and bare feet.

Girls: leotard and footless or convertible tights of any color, shorts or skirts are permitted, bare feet, and hair in ponytail or bun.

LYRICAL 4, 5, 6

Duration- 1 hour

Students in this class should have a solid understanding of Ballet and Jazz technique. This class focuses on advancing skills in both techniques, while incorporating emotion and storytelling through movement. This class will perform a Lyrical piece for the end of the year Showcase.

 

Dress Code-

Boys: white or black t-shirt, black leggings, capris, or shorts, and bare feet.

Girls: leotard and tights of any color, shorts or skirts are permitted, bare feet, and hair in ponytail or bun.

TAP 4, 5, 6

HIP HOP 5 & 6

Duration- 1 hour

This class is designed for students who already have a strong understanding of Hip Hop dance. Students will continue to develop a personal style and deepen their knowledge of commercial and urban styles through a combination of freestyle jams and structured choreography. 

 

Dress Code-

comfortable clothing you can move in and clean sneakers that are not worn outside. Long hair should be pull back. No jeans permitted.

Duration- 1 hour

This class develops strong tap fundamentals with a focus on rhythm, timing, and clarity of sound. Students explore elements of both Broadway and Rhythm style tap, learning to execute movements with speed, accuracy, and expressive musicality. As technique improves, dancers work toward more complex combinations and performance quality. Dancers in this class will perform a Tap number in the end of the year Showcase. 

 

Dress Code-

Comfortable clothing you can move in and black oxford tap shoes. Long hair should be worn up. Jeans and long pants are not permitted. 

CONTEMPORARY 5 & 6

Duration- 1 hour

Students will blend Ballet, Modern, and Jazz together in this unique and expressive dance form. Floor work, jumps/leaps, and turns will be incorporated into this class routine. Dancers should have an intermediate to advanced understanding of Ballet, Modern, and Jazz prior to enrolling in this class.

Girls: leotard and footless or convertible tights of any color, shorts or skirts are permitted, bare feet, and hair in ponytail or bun.
